Maria Lourdes Cotanas started her flower business by accepting individual orders of flower arrangement for different occasions like valentines and anniversaries. Then the word spread out through her clients and soon she began receiving more individual orders. She also started to make corsages for students on their graduation and other school related events. Then little by little she accepted orders of flower arrangements to group and family events. Because of the impending expansion of her business, Lourdes thought that she needs to invest in learning more about business. So when the invitation for Start Your Business Training near her place came, she joined readily. She learned how to set-up her business and also where and how to get her target customers. But most importantly she was able to make her own business plan. She also saw the need to be coached by a businessman since she still considers herself a newbie in doing business.
As of today, she has started meeting with the MBC coach. She has also met people who are also in the same industry (events organizing) and was able to partner with them for big events like weddings.
