Project Description
To help her husband provide the needs of her family of 8, Jenny decided to put up a small rice retail and sari-sari store. She attended the SYB training in June 2014 and finished the last draft of her Business Plan in November of the same year. Because of her finished business plan, a missionary whom Jenny worked for before, decided to help her buy the first sack of rice and a batch of goods to sell. She was able to put up her small store in front of her house in Bagong Silang, Caloocan City.
Unfortunately, it went well for only 3 months because the sales of the store were used to other needs outside the business. At the end of the 3rd month there was not enough money to buy another sack of rice and another batch of goods. The MBC hopes that Jenny has learned from her mistake and in the future can restart the shop and resist the temptation to use the money in a different way than described in the business plan.
